Clean Cities Research Quantitative Survey Report

Clean Cities Research Quantitative Survey Report

In this detailed report out and webinar, researchers Erick Lachapelle and Marjolaine Martel-Morin share the findings for Phase 3 of the Clean Cities Research Project. This research surveyed 3000 residents in urban Ontario (GTHA) and BC (MV and CRD) to find out more about the concerns, perceived trade offs and support around two municipal policy areas: housing decarbonization and adaptation. There were marked differences noted by province on some topics and frames, along with significant variation by social values segment. Several pathways were illuminated for ways in which cities and their allies can engage residents in municipal climate action. These will be further studied in the Phase 4 Focus Groups.
