Which Canadians support a green (and just) recovery?

This report draws on EcoAnalytics’ Climate of Change survey, of the fall of 2020, to examine views of different segments of Canadian society about investing in a green and just recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic: i.e., diversifying the economy by investing in innovation, clean energy, and more resilient communities. It shows that 45% of respondents supported a green and just recovery, while 55% gave priority to getting existing industries and businesses back on their feet as quickly as possible. Another surprising result was high levels of support for such a recovery among women (but not men) who vote for the federal Conservatives.
