Environmental solutions: views about the path forward (qualitative briefing)
These slides summarize an Environics’ webinar on qualitative research conducted in June 2021 exploring how Canadians think about solutions to climate change and biodiversity loss, and related opportunities and “pain points”. This revealed, among other things, that people concerned about climate change believe multiple solutions are necessary, prefer nature-based solutions to carbon-capture technology and rate solutions according to perceptions of their effectiveness and fairness.
Keywords: carbon capture, nature-based solutions, energy transition, accountability, policy bundling, solutions
