Climate of Change: analysis of a national survey of Canadian opinions about climate and energy issues

This detailed report summarizes the results of EcoAnalytics’ first Climate of Change survey: tracking the opinions, perceptions and concerns of Canadians about climate change and energy issues to provide a baseline for future EcoA surveys. The opening section also presents a ladder of engagement on climate change for different groups of Canadians, with socio-demographic observations. Another section looks at opinions regarding national and provincial government responsibility for addressing climate change, and levels of support for different policy measures, including carbon taxes costing different amounts.

Keywords: ladder of engagement, responsibility, audience segmentation, pipelines, behaviour
