Shifting perceptions, influential values and the power of trust

This report examines salient findings of EcoAnalytics’ third Climate of Change Survey, 2018. The first section updates readers on shifts in public opinion about climate change in the last year, including the rising belief that Canada’s environment was improving. The second section presents the results of a battery of questions looking at Canadians values (or worldviews), identity and beliefs about environmental and energy issues. The author also offers nuanced data on Canadians’ relatively high levels of trust in environmental NGOs, and advises on frames and narratives for communicating about climate change..
