Engaging the Five Canadas of Climate Change

This report draws on EcoAnalytics’ Climate of Change Survey in the fall of 2017, updating readers on shifts in Canadians’ core beliefs around climate change, their perceptions of risk and attitudes regarding who is chiefly responsible in financial terms for the effects of climate change. It also reveals five distinct clusters of opinion, which the authors refer to as the Alarmed (25%), Concerned (41%), Disengaged (4%), Doubtful (22%) and Dismissive (8%).

Keywords: alarmed, concerned, disengaged, doubtful, dismissive, core beliefs, accountability, legal action
